But on Monday, Umanmielen announced that he would be committing to Texas.Previously, back in May, he released a top five that included Texas, LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Texas A&M.247Sports rates Umanmielen as the No. 230 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 11 strong-side defensive end in the nation, and the No. 37 recruit from the state of Texas. Last year Umanmielen recorded 45 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. They now have 15 recruits in the Class of 2020.Umanmielen is the tenth top-40 in-state player to join the Texas Longhorns this offseason.As of writing, the Longhorns have the No. 6 recruiting class in the country, and the No. 1 class in the Big 12, per 247Sports.
