Mark Nonoy led with 25 points, Reynold Tupas added 16 markers, while Jesse Sulano and Binoy Beliran had 15 and 14 points, respectively, for Hua Siong to finish the Bracket B elimination with 3-0 card on Sunday.Ralph Bajon top-scored with 26 points, while Marvin Cuerbo added 17 markers for Primes (2-1), which finished on second place in the bracket and will move on to the quarterfinals.“I like to give credit to my players for following our game plan,” said Hua Siong coach Vincent Conlu. “May one week naming pinaghandaan ang laban na ito and I am glad that we were able to pull it off.”Sun Yat Sen High School also swept its Bracket C assignments after a 69-55 win over Central Philippine University Golden Lions. Both squads will represent the bracket in the Final 8.Iloilo National High School, meanwhile, escaped with a 71-69 victory over Ateneo de Iloilo to join idle CenterPhil Montessori Silver Knights as Bracket D’s representative in the quarterfinals.University of San Agustin also swept its Bracket A games with a 73-68 escape over St. Robert’s International Academy Panda Rockets. USA and Panda Rockets will move on to the round-of-eight.The first leg of the quarterfinals will start at 10 a.m. today with USA facing INHS, Hua Siong fighting Golden Lions, Panda Rockets battling Silver Knights, and Primes taking on Sun Yat Sen.
