Beth Ipsen with the Alaska State Troopers said at 10:12pm Troopers and Central Emergency Services responded to reports of a house fire. The investigation is continuing. Ipsen would not specify how or where the fire began. Charges for arson and criminal mischief have been considered. FacebookTwitterEmailPrintFriendly分享Troopers are releasing few additional details about the cause or suspects in a possible case of arson on Belaire Drive last night near Soldotna. Ipsen says at the time of the incident it appeared only a 45-year-old Kenai male was in the house. He was reported as the boyfriend of the homeowner, but Ipsen would not confirm or deny if he was a suspect in the incident. She says the male suffered relatively minor abrasions to his hand and was taken to Central Peninsula Hospital, where he remained this morning for treatment of unrelated medical issues. When officers arrived the fire had already been extinguished and had been contained to a single bedroom where it appeared as though the damage was relatively minor. They learned that in addition to the fire, several large windows and a television in the residence had been broken.
